In Path of Exile, I think that running Abyssal fissures and Breaches feels a lot better than running into a Bestiary pack, I think everyone more or less feels this way. However, some players do not agree with my point of view, they think that Beasts with league mods could use to drop better in general (or, even better, recipes could use a large improvement overall) but they disagree with netting them granting extra loot, forcing players to net everything (that’s rare), especially since there’s a cap on how many beasts of each type you can have in your menagerie.

What they’d like to see (assuming they don’t manage to make all recipes useful):

1. Make beasts with bestiary mods in high level areas harder. While yellow ones need a huge buff, even red ones could use a small bump in maps.

2. Improve their loot to be proportionate to their difficulty and your time investment. (Do the same for map bosses while you’re at it.)

3. Make them drop loot again when you defeat them in your menagerie. That way all the ‘cheap’ recipes wouldn’t feel like such a waste of your time.

And some players think that either this or let them drop loot a second time when you kill them in the menagerie. it feels so garbage to kill yellow monsters and get nothing but a random thing in a box on the floor.

The tree gives you a good bit but you have to be mindful of what you will need on the rest of your jewelry/belt/jewels. Try to get a good base for your amulet that has either str, intel or a mix of the two. A good strength roll on a belt would also be great.

3. Why do I keep running out of mana?

At low levels you WILL run out of mana. Either use elreon jewelry if it is not start of league, or just run a mana flask. Once you get the mana leech node now called “Soul Raker” in the claw wheel and a decent amount of damage you shouldn’t really run out anymore. Also make sure you have primal spirit on the tree picked up it gives you a lot of mana!

4. Where do we get leech from?

Their is now two places on the tree that we get leech from. The biggest source is the Soul Raker passive in the claw wheel up by shadow. It grants 1.2% attack damage leeched as life and 0.8% attack damage leeched as mana. The second passive is blood drinker which grants an additional 0.4% attack damage leeched as life. Both are more than sufficient to keep your life/mana at full once you start dealing enough damage to sustain it. It is based on a % of the damage you deal afterall.

It was replaced with two nodes that give massive bonuses when you have Arcane Surge, and give you Arcane Surge on kill. Arcane Surge itself gives 20% more spell damage (more, not increased), as well as increased cast speed and mana regen. That, on top of the bonus damage, and, most importantly, spell leech, is insane. That’s right, they’ve added in spell leech.

What Is The Maximum Damage Of PoE Spectral Shield

Where’s the quick maths? Collectors of path of exile currency think that we don’t know how much the base damage will scale anyway, so no way to do the real maths yet. Therefore, the following picture were some crude math regarding spectral shield throw’s theoretical max damage, based on the highest possible base damage from a pure armour shield.

2916 Armour leads to 502 base phyisical shield damage. Multiplied by a base attack speed of 1.44? (1.2 is the base unarmed attack speed modified by the 20% more stat on the gem). If my math is correct, we’re looking at a theoretical maximum of 722,88 base phys dps on a perfect shield.

This is based on a lvl 1 spectral shield throw gem. There’s no info yet on how the gem levels scale the skill. Increasing the base phys damage per armour/evasion with gem levels would make the skill really good, so I’m assuming either just the flat phys damage is scaled, the projectile damage penatly is lowered (seems unlikely at 25%) or the more attack speed is increased.

Recalculated based on a Shield crafted with deafening essence of dread. To give a rather realistic perspective, the following picture was a realistic alt+regaled shield with T1 + armour and T1 armour/stun recovery hybrid, then crafted Haku%armour. It’s base damage would be at 598 pDPS at gem lvl 1.

Conc Effect is nice, true, but Spectral Shield Throw with Fork Support seems like it would be godly against enemies up against a wall since it’s effectively around an 180% more damage multiplier if you manage that.

Doryani’s Fist won’t work as confirmed by Bex, they might update the wording on it so it’s clearer it doesn’t work. It comes down to that it only works with unarmed attacks (same for Facebreaker), and Spectral Shield Throw being an off-hand attack means it’s not an unarmed attack.

For comparison, an insane elder siege axe can reach up to 750 pdps with dedicated scaling on the tree. Of course, you do get to use a stat-stick in your main hand (such as prismatic eclipse) with Spectral Shield Throw (of course, you can do that with an axe, too, but you’d need to make sure you pick a skill that doesn’t alternate hands or doesn’t use your stat stick weapon type).
