EA SPORTS Unveils FIFA Ultimate Team Draft

Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) today announced that EA SPORTS™ FIFA 16*, chosen Best Sports Game by E3 2015 Game Critics, delivers New Ways to Play in its two most popular modes: FIFA Ultimate Team™ (FUT) and Career Mode. FIFA Ultimate Team introduces FUT Draft, a brand new way for fans to test their team building skills and compete with some of the best football players in the world.

And this season, Career Mode adds two features most requested by fans: Pre-season Tournaments and Player Training that ensure an even deeper and more authentic career whether fans play as a manager or a pro.

In FIFA Ultimate Team Draft, fans can compete in single player or online** in a single knockout string of four games to achieve rewards – the more games won, the better the reward to utilize in your FUT Club. Once fans enter a Draft using virtual coins, FIFA Points, or a Draft Token, they will choose from one of five formations, then a captain, and then go on to fill out the rest of their 23-man squad by selecting a player from a choice of five in each position.

Fans will be tested as they choose between picking the best players and creating a team with the right chemistry before they enter their games. See FUT Draft in action as two of England’s top football pundits, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville play the all new mode: here.

“We are delivering unprecedented depth and innovation to the franchise this season by bringing several new ways to play across Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and through the introduction of twelve Women’s National Teams,” said David Rutter, VP and GM, EA SPORTS FIFA. “We think fans are going to be equally as excited with all the new ways as they have been with the gameplay in FIFA 16. From hands-on gameplay events across the world, we’ve heard resoundingly positive feedback on the balanced and exciting experience we are building in FIFA 16.”

FIFA 16 delivers Innovation Across the Entire Pitch in gameplay highlighted by No Touch Dribbling and Clinical Finishing, two new features sure to provide Moments of Magic in the final third. To balance against attacking players, defenders now move as a unit with new positioning and 25 feature changes to their locomotion, ensuring they stay with attackers and give fans Confidence in Defending. Arguably the most important part of the pitch, the middle of the park is where matches are won and lost, and FIFA 16 encourages fans to gain Control in Midfield with Passing with Purpose and Interception Intelligence, two revolutionary features that elevate the battle for possession and balance gameplay. Goalkeepers have also been improved with new save animations and authentic positioning.

Rich and authentic football narrative in FIFA 16 is driven by hours of new commentary, new commentators in German and Russian, and more than 900 new real chants sung in stadiums across the globe. BORRUSSIA-PARK in Mönchengladbach, El Monumental in Buenos Aires, and CenturyLink Field in Seattle make up three of the nine stadiums making their debut in FIFA 16, taking the total to more than 70 stadia in game. And the German Bundesliga gets an authentic presentation package in FIFA 16 synonymous with the league’s television broadcast visuals, including score graphics, team sheets, and player analysis.

FIFA Ultimate Team also adds new broadcast presentation to give fans a unique experience from game-to-game. Dynamic commentary in FUT will now have commentators reacting to the stats and history of your club. FIFA 16 also sees the arrival of Legends Chemistry, which will increase chemistry links between legends and squad players, and eight new FIFA Ultimate Team Legends, only on Xbox.

In Career Mode, Pre-season Tournaments will help managers grow transfer budgets and get their team in good form ahead of competition that counts. Managers will select from three of nine tournaments presented at the start of each season before jumping into their domestic campaign. Player Training will assist in the development of youth and squad players in between matches. Fans will select from more than 30 drills and put up to five players through their paces to improve faster. This opens up new ways to play, especially for those managers looking to develop youth players and transfer them to other clubs.

The trainer options will progress as the level of the trainer increases, which can be set to automatic or controlled manually.

FIFA 16 innovates across the entire pitch to deliver a balanced, authentic, and beautiful football experience. Fans who pre-order*** FIFA 16 can choose from Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe editions. FIFA 16 cover will feature women stars Morgan and Sinclai

FIFA 16 will feature women soccer stars Alex Morgan and Christine Sinclair on the respective covers of the U.S.

Forward Morgan helped the U.S. team to victory in this summer’s Women’s World Cup, playing in all seven games during the competition. Sinclair is captain of host nation Canada, which reached the last eight.

FIFA 16 cover

The Australian FIFA 16 cover will feature Steph Catley who was voted in by the public, chosen from a list of women players.

FIFA 16 is the first in the series to feature women players, with 12 international teams available to play. It’s also the first to feature women cover stars. FIFA 16’s covers in Europe, Japan, Mexico and South America will feature various local stars of the men’s game.

Following the U.S. team’s World Cup victory, speculation mounted that EA Sports would announce a woman player on the cover of its U.S. edition. Polygon understands that the decision to go with Morgan and Sinclair was made prior to the World Cup.

“It is an incredible honor to be one of the first women featured on the cover of EA Sports’ FIFA,” said Morgan in a press statement. “I know people all over the world play this game and I’m really excited that FIFA 16 is putting such an important spotlight on women’s soccer. And now to share the cover with today’s greatest player is surreal.”

FIFA 16 will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on Sept. 22.

the latest changes coming to FIFA 16, improving presentation and accommodating

Growing And Changing

EA has added hazy, partly cloudy, foggy, random variable rain showers and variable flurries as weather conditions, and expanded the available kick-off times.

The menu interface now allows you to choose a favorite stadium and use it as your background. The menu itself now has a full time highlight option, so you can watch the best moments in a given match.

Vanishing spray has finally been added in, helping recreate the simulation aspect of the game.

Sideline celebrations have been expanded, allowing you to do things like run to the nearest cameraman for a close-up or rush to the substitutes bench to celebrate with your teammates there.

FIFA 16 will do a better job of covering the season. Commentators will remember and recall key highlights, such as notable performances, player debuts, and rumors for transfers and acquisitions. The game’s graphics and commentary will also bring up team stats for each match, and contextualize this in terms of the league standings.

Commentary now includes support for Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish, Japanese, Polish, Dutch, and Russian.

And now, about league specific features. The German Bundesliga will get their own overlay, which is authentic to what they actually use in broadcast matches. There are also 900 new chants, all based on the different clubs from different leagues.

EA Reveals FIFA 16 ball SIM cards issued in Australia

At an exclusive preview event held in Sydney last night, the Shanghai Shenhua and Socceroos star was unveiled as the third and final cover artist for the Australian release of the highly anticipated football sim. The all-time leading goalscorer for his national side, Cahill is in esteemed company, joining Barcelona legend Lionel Messi and Steph Catley of the Westfield Matildas to form the full line-up.

In a press release, Cahill said:

I’ve had the honour of being a part of the FIFA franchise for a number of years now, but this is the first time I’m wearing my Socceroos kit and seeing that image on the cover makes me proud. FIFA 16 will be the best installment of the franchise yet and I can’t wait to check out all the new features;

SIM cards

Especially the women’s teams. The Westfield Matildas’ performance at the World Cup was first class and it’s an honour to be pictured on the cover with Steph as well as one of the world’s greatest players, Lionel Messi.

FIFA 16 is due for release on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 22 in the US, September 24 in Australia, and September 25 in the UK. Following on from the success of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada earlier in the year.

The PES 2016 demo download to Take on FIFA 16

The biggest competitor to FIFA 16 is coming hard this year with a very early PES 2016 demo release on Xbox One and PS4. PES 2016, or Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, is a rival to the better known in the U.S.

The PES 2016 demo download is available now on PS4 and Xbox One as a free digital download. There is no confirmation of a FIFA 16 demo yet, but it is something EA typically offers about two weeks before the FIFA release date.
Gamers can download the PES 2016 demo now on the PS4 and Xbox One free, without the need to join any early access programs like EA currently offers for Madden 16.

In the PES 2016 demo gamers can choose to play a 7-minute or 10-minute match with a small selection of teams. Choose from AS Roma, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Corinthians, Palmeiras and national teams for Brazil and France. There are options for weather and difficulty.

You can start the PES 2106 demo download on your console, though at this time it is only available in Australia and New Zealand. We expect the full release will bring the U.S. PES 2016 demo download to PS4 and Xbox One shortly. The PES 2016 demo download size is 3.3GB, which should go fast for most users.

The PES 2016 demoThere is no mention of a PS3 or Xbox 360 PES 2016 demo download in the works. The game is coming to older consoles, but a demo looks limited to the current generation of gaming systems.

Dynamic Weather – weather can change during a match and influence play.
Goalkeeper ID – Personality to each keeper with new parameters for actions.
Revamped Master League – Complete overhaul with a new player transfer system.

Celebration Control – Complete control of the celebration after a goal.
Image Importing on PS4 and PS3 – Import images of players for realistic looking teams and kit.

The PES franchise is not as well-known and supported in the U.S. as FIFA 16, but this offers a great chance for players to see how PES 2016 compares to FIFA, well ahead of the release dates for both games.

Arsenal Players Bound to a new evaluation in FIFA 16

new evaluation

FIFA 16 is just around the corner, and by the corner, I of course mean another month and a half away. With the coming of FIFA, we will have brand new evaluations for how some EA Sports Game developers see Arsenal and as such, we will have brand new things to complain about, because a handful of guys will inevitably get the short end of the stick.

Last year, there were several guys that got hit with a pretty unfortunate rating. The first of which was Olivier Giroud.

Out big Frenchman was never a highly-praised forward, mostly because his goals were not flashy or brilliant, they were just goals. As such, EA Sports saw fit to gift him with a 79 player rating. You know who else was rated 79? Vedad Ibisevic, Kevin Gameira, Oscar Cardozo – yeah, all guys that you put on Olivier Giroud’s level.

Laurent Koscielny’s 81 was also painfully low. The interceptions master is consistently one of the best defenders in the Premier League and his rating was equal to Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Branislav Ivanovic. Hardly guys that you would put Koscielny in the same group as.

Finally, Alexis Sanchez was never given the rating that he earned. An 84 rating is great, but for a world-class striker like Alexis who dominates games completely by himself, being rated the same as Gonzalo Higuain and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar while being beat out in the ratings by Wayne Rooney and Angel Di Maria just is not right.

Hopefully FIFA will fix these things in the coming edition, but they cannot get everything right.

the real FIFA 16 gameplay that you will see

The FIFA 16 release date is slowly creeping closer, and we are looking forward to playing FIFA 16 on our own. Until you can play the new FIFA, we dug in and discovered five must see FIFA 16 gameplay videos .

During E3 EA kept the game under tight wraps, but we finally have a good look at FIFA 16 gameplay videos on PS4 and Xbox One. Forget the official FIFA 16 gameplay trailers that show cinematic animations, this is a look at the real FIFA 16 gameplay that you will see on your TV in September.

We get a chance to see the smarter play in midfield, more aggressive team players and other changes to the FIFA 16 gameplay in the five videos below. This is also the best look at the new crossing mechanic and the ability to move freely without taking the ball with you to trick defenders.

EA Sports’ FIFA 16 will be the first in the franchise’s history to feature women on its cover.

U.S. Women’s National Team star Alex Morgan will grace the cover of FIFA 16 when it goes on sale domestically in late-September, Electronic Arts announced Monday. Morgan, the team’s star forward, will share the cover with Argentinian male soccer star and FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi on games sold in the U.S. Meanwhile, Messi will share the spotlight with Canadian Women’s National Team player Christine Sinclair on copies sold in Canada.

News that the latest FIFA cover will feature Morgan and Sinclair comes less than two months after EA announced that the new game will be the first in the franchise’s history to give gamers the option of competing with women’s teams. FIFA 16 will include the option of gameplay between a handful of different women’s national teams, including the U.S., Canada, England and Germany. Fortune spoke to EA CEO Andrew Wilson earlier this month about the decision to include women’s teams in the game.

Morgan is one of the biggest names on the USWNT, fresh off its dominant run in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada. Earlier this month, the U.S. defeated Japan to win the tournament for the first time since 1999. Morgan played through a knee injury throughout the tournament, but still scored a goal against Colombia in her team’s quarterfinal match. In a statement, Morgan called her cover treatment “an incredible honor.”

Following the USWNT’s World Cup victory, fans created an online petition to convince EA to put the U.S. team on the FIFA 16 cover. EA also lets fans vote on male and female players to be featured on regional editions of the game.

“As soon as we knew Women’s National Teams were joining FIFA 16, we immediately recognized that Christine and Alex would be the perfect cover athletes based on their accomplishments and what they represent for their respective countries and the sport of women’s soccer,” David Pekush, senior manager of North America marketing for EA Sports, said in a statement.

the cover of FIFA 16

EA decided to add women’s teams to FIFA just ahead of this year’s World Cup, which proved to be a wildly successful tournament in terms of television ratings. The USWNT’s title game against Japan attracted more U.S. viewers than any soccer match in history.

FIFA 16 trailer and its new career mode

At EA’s Gamescom press conference today, the publisher showed off a new trailer for FIFA 16 and discussed the game’s new Ultimate Team draft and its Career Mode.

The video demonstrated how you’ll put together your Ultimate Team in the upcoming FIFA game. It’s a new process in which you’ll go step-by-step in creating your Ultimate Team. You’ll select one out of a group of five formations, captains, and players for each position.

In addition, in the Career Mode, there’s a new training system to help upgrade your young players. Additionally, there are improvements to the management features in the game. Team defenses have also been tweaked to be smarter and more agile. EA is improving smart passes and adding new celebrations, as well.
